Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit have taken over the investigation into the disappearance of a 36-year-old woman missing from the City of Markham.
Ying Chun (Annie) LI was last seen by her family on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at 6 p.m., in the area of Denison Street and Markham Road. Ms. Li has not been in contact with her family, and has not returned home. Investigators believe Ms. Li many have been seen later in the evening of Sunday, June 12, 2016, at about 7 p.m., in the Richmond Hill area. She is also known to frequent the areas of Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue as well as Fairview Mall in Toronto.
Police and Ms. Li’s family are growing increasingly concerned for her well-being and her disappearance is now considered suspicious.
A possible witness has been identified and her photos have been removed for her privacy.
MISSING WOMAN:
• Female, Asian
• 36 years
• 5’2”, 120 lbs.
• Brown eyes
• Black hair
