Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit have located and charged a 21-year-old man from the City of Toronto that was wanted for Manslaughter in connection with the disappearance of a 36-year-old woman missing from the City of Markham.
Ying Chun (Annie) LI was last seen by her family on Sunday, June 12, 2016, in the area of Denison Street and Markham Road. As a result of the investigation, police believe that Annie LI is deceased.
On Tuesday, August 2, 2016, an arrest warrant for Manslaughter was issued for Jiarui (Jerry) TANG in relation to Ms. LI’s disappearance.
On Thursday, September 1, 2016, Mr. TANG was located by investigators at a residence on Alicewood Drive in Markham. He was taken into custody without incident.
