黑人历史月（17）四名青少年的作品在多伦多市长“黑人历史文化月”征文比赛中获奖

多伦多市长“黑人历史文化月”征文比赛揭晓，四名青少年的作品获奖。

他们的作品颂扬了黑人民权律师 Charles Conliff Mende Roach、加拿大第一位黑人国会议员和内阁部长、前安大略省省督林科恩.亚历山大（Lincoln Alexander），以及在公共汽车上为遭受歧视的中东裔市民挺身而出的无名英雄。

获奖者及获奖作品：

Winner in the 11 to 13 years of age category:

Praneetha Kakarla, 13, who wrote about Charles Conliff Mende Roach. 

Runner-up in the 11 to 13 years of age category:

Hanna Yusuf, 13, who wrote about Lincoln Alexander. 

Winner in the 14 to 17 years of age category:

Jonelle Whittingham, 16, who wrote a letter addressed to Lincoln Alexander.

Runner-up in the 14 to 17 years of age category:

Timothy Vince, 17, who wrote a poem called A Ride on the 37.
