On Saturday, November 24, celebrate the season with the City of Markham at the 46th Annual Markham Santa Claus Parade, presented by the Rotary Club of Markham Sunrise Inc. and the Markham-Unionville Rotary Club.
"It's a time to believe in magic and a time to come together to show who we are as a community; warm, welcoming and spirited," says Mayor Frank Scarpitti. "This wouldn't be possible without the outstanding volunteers at Markham's Rotary Clubs, and the holiday season wouldn't be the same without the Markham Santa Claus Parade."
The theme of this year's parade is "Peace on Earth" and will feature more than 100 floats, marching bands and representatives from Markham's business and cultural communities.
The parade will run from Highway 7 East & Main Street to Highway 7 East & 16th Avenue, and you can watch from either side of Main Street. The roads will begin to close starting at 9:00 a.m. Parking is available in the areas surrounding the parade route, however parking is not permitted on Main Street Markham.
Bring your festive spirit and join us for this holiday family tradition!
