Join us for an engaging evening with award-winning author & journalist Kamal Al-Solaylee in conversation with Brock Weir, Managing Editor of The Auroran Newspaper.
Kamal Al-Solaylee is a Canadian journalist and author of the national bestselling memoir Intolerable: A Memoir of Extremes. In his latest book, Brown: What Being Brown in the World Today Means (to Everyone), Al-Solaylee explores the in-between space that brown people occupy in today’s world. A daring and politically resonant work, Brown challenges assumptions about race, immigration and globalism and recounts the heartbreaking stories of the people caught in the middle.
