Job and Career Fair at the Scarborough Civic Centre
The City of Toronto, along with community partners Next-Steps Employment Centres, Progress Career Planning Institute and YWCA Toronto, will host the annual Job and Career Fair tomorrow. This job fair is the third in a series of spring job fairs for youth aged 16 to 29 years.
Employers from a variety of sectors are looking to fill numerous opportunities. Youth, as well as job seekers of all ages, are encouraged to bring their resumés and be prepared to meet with employers for networking and on-the-spot interviews. Event staff will provide resumé reviews and interview tips. Free Wi-Fi will be available.
Date: Wednesday, May 9
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Scarborough Civic Centre, 150 Borough Dr.
Opening remarks will be provided by Deputy Mayor Glenn De Baeremaeker (Councillor, Ward 38 Scarborough Centre) and Councillor Michael Thompson (Ward 37 Scarborough Centre), Chair of Toronto's Economic Development Committee.
