Toronto's Earl Bales Park offers free entertainment all summer
The City of Toronto will present free musical and theatrical performances throughout July and August, rain or shine, at the Barry Zukerman Amphitheatre in Earl Bales Park, 4169 Bathurst St.
"I'm looking forward to a summer filled with music and family-friendly fun at Earl Bales Park including Tuesday Night Live! and the Family Fun series as well as the new Music Can Heal concert series on Wednesdays," said Councillor James Pasternak (Ward 10 York Centre). "This great free programming gives people of all ages the chance to get outside and enjoy music, theatre and movies under the stars."
Tuesday Night Live!
Featuring local musicians performing in a variety of musical genres, Tuesday Night Live! will present performances from 7 to 8 p.m. each Tuesday in July and August. The series kicks off with a special opening night on Tuesday, July 5, featuring food and entertainment beginning at 5 p.m. and musical performances starting at 7 p.m.

July 5 – Folk Theatre Russian Style and Danny's 11, a jazz/swing band
July 12 – Thornhill Concert Band
July 19 – Megacity Big Band: 18-piece orchestra performing big-band music
July 26 – North York Concert Band playing light classics, featuring Canadian composers
August 2 – Hand Me Down Bluegrass Band
August 9 – Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 344 Concert Band
August 16 – Shul of Rock, performing dynamic rock-and-roll-style Jewish music
August 23 – Casablanca Orchestra, with Broadway show tunes and hits from the '30s to the '90s
Family Fun series
The Family Fun summer series features family-friendly activities, stage performances and movie screenings. Family games and fun will begin at 6 p.m. before each performance on July 14 and July 28, which will run from 7 to 8 p.m. Movies will be screened from 9 to 10:15 p.m. on August 4 and 25.

Music Can Heal
