The City of Toronto is opening 35 outdoor rinks on Saturday, November 28, including Nathan Phillips Square, the covered rink and skating path at Greenwood Park, the 250-metre ice-skating trail at Colonel Samuel Smith Park and the landscaped skating paths at Dieppe Park and Rennie Park. It's time for Torontonians to lace up their skates and enjoy an outdoor skating season.
Weather permitting, the 35 outdoor rinks will operate until the season ends on March 20. The remaining 15 rinks will open Saturday, December 5 and operate until February 28.
More information about Toronto's outdoor artificial ice rinks, including a map of rink locations, schedules for each location, closures, learn-to-skate programs and helmet/equipment requirements, is available at http://www.toronto.ca/outdoor-rinks.
