Driving Tips To Keep Ontario Roads and Your Loved Ones Safe
One person, one seat belt: Make sure that each passenger has their own seat belt and that everyone is wearing a working seat belt.
Hands on the wheel, eyes on the road: Focus on the road and avoid distractions. Don't text and drive.
Keep children safe and secure: Always ensure child car seats are installed correctly before strapping your child in.
Remember it's still winter: Give yourself extra time and adjust your driving to road and weather conditions. Call 511 or visit ontario.ca/511 for current highway conditions.
Be Prepared: get your vehicle ready with a maintenance check-up. Have a winter driving survival kit in your vehicle and always be sure to clear all snow and ice from your windshield, headlights and rear and signal lights.
